Photography is my, passion, obsession and addiction.

Subculture – nowadays also referred to as counterculture – is the main subject of my images.

I am not interested in mere presentability, or in a good likeness or a beautiful picture. On the contrary, it is a question of authenticity, about the topics acquiring a reality of their own through my own experiences, about taking something in, about commitment – all part of the images.

I am interested in otherness, in the niches people find for themselves and which I document in long-term photographic studies. Last but not least, this is also my way of expressing my esteem. Stemming from a subculture myself might be what affords me such a point of view – I consider this a privilege.
